Crystal 2.0 (Black)
Product #:
With light transmission of 31% in bright condition (protection level 2!) welders have for the first time a practically unclouded and clear view of their working environment. This in combination with the almost perfect color spectrum of the CLT2.0 for the first time allows welders to see what is really going on in the weld pool, and with a clarity that equates to insights into a new dimension. This is why welders describe this as an enlightenment.

Got a question?
What is the size of the lens viewing area?
The viewing area is 50mm X 100mm. This equates to 10% larger than a standard 2″ X 4″ lens. If viewing area size is your most important feature you should check out our panoramaxx series of hoods.
Thanks. 50mm (1.9685″) x 100mm (3.93701). It’s actually smaller, but maybe the standard 2″ x 4″ don’t really have the full 2″ x 4″ viewing. I just got my Crystal 2.0 (first welding helmet ever) and need to dial in the adjustments… not sure if I’m going to opt for the halo accessory or the isofit headgear. The basic head gear the came with it wasn’t that comfortable… but I only adjusted the top of the head band… need to dial in the others and likely just need to get it “worn” in.
The 50mm x 100mm is the actual size of the viewing area. A 2″ x 4″ lens usually has a 1.25″ x 3.5″ viewing area but is measured by the outer dimensions, with frame and most likely solar cells that measurement is 2″ x 4″.
Thanks for the clarification. I probably don’t fully appreciate how clear the Crystal 2.0 is…. this is the only welding helmet I’ve every worn.
Is it possible to buy just a new black shell for crystal 2.0?
Does this welding helmet have an IP76 rating?
We are not familiar with IP76. The IP rating system uses 2 digits. The first digit should be no greater than 6 and the second digit should be 9 or less. We currently do not do any IP testing and if you are referring to IP67 the hood is not waterproof but could be used outdoors in light rain and you should be fine.
I need a +3.0 magnifying lens, is that available?
What are the dimensions of the Crystal 2.0 hood (the shell), specifically the width? What hood of yours offers the best coverage? Thanks

Along with the panorama quattro, i also use this hood ( crystal 2.0) and i have to say just when i thought optrel mastered the perfect lense i welded with this one !!!! INCREDIBLE!!!!! Its like looking out your picture window !!! Mind blown! Watch out speedglass, miller , jackson, lincoln and nexgen, cause you dont stand a chance!

Incredible view and clarity and very light weight. Even better with the IsoFit headgear. Basic head gear was ok, but for me, the IsoFit head gear made a huge difference in comfort! I can feel it securely on my head without having to overtighten and cause discomfort.

AMAZING!!! Best word to describe this hood. I’ve been a journeyman welder for 20 years, a Welding Instructor for 10 years and a CWI/CWE for 7 years. I have owned and tried every company’s premium welding hood. From Millers Infinity to Lincolns 3350 4C, Jackson BH3, ESAB Sentinel and everything in between. This Crystal 2.0 has by far the clearest optical clarity lens I have ever used. It’s almost like not wearing a hood at all. I think the passive state is the most impressive part, maybe due to my aging eyes needing more light to see before striking an arc. Plan on purchasing the halo head gear attachment to go with it. This hood is so nice I might just dedicate it for TIG work, so I don’t spatter it up.
