  1. John Russo

I love this helmet! I never would have thought or believed that I would be able to see this clearly while welding. Add in the fact that I can now see color while welding or plasma cutting day or night and I’ll never buy another helmet. My free hand welds and cuts are straighter just for the simple fact I can now see my soap stone line. The only bad thing I can say is that the batteries that came with it burn out after 7hrs of use. Seriously awesome helmet!

  2. MeredithJL

Quite honestly the BEST welding helmet I have ever used. I do a lot of tig on stainless, and I can see EVERYTHING with this hood. It is also the lightest hood I have ever used–you don’t even notice it’s on your head after a while. In short, I don’t see myself ever switching to another brand after having used the Crystal 2.0 for the past 18 months. Truly a fantastic helmet.

  3. Bob Keller

Never thought I’d own a helmet this expensive but the clarity of the glass is amazing and the isofit headgear is super comfy. And NOT MADE IN CHINA!! Great product Optrel. Good bye ” grinder and paint make me the welder I ain’t ” ….

  4. Leon Roy Mills

Can you switch from Auto Dark into Passive? As a pipewelder, i have to look through the bevel of a pipe (5mm) while i weld the root and a traditional Auto Dark helmet will flash my eyes because the sensor cant pick-up the UV Light.

Optrel USA
2 years 1 month ago

We are not able to switch between auto darkening mode and a passive mode.
