(2 customer reviews)

A world record ADF with shade level 2.5 / 8–12: The Optrel Vegaview 2.5 makes the welders’ most desired wish come true: bright view. With its unrivaled brightest ADF view at opening shade level 2.5, the Vegaview 2.5 improves the visibility of welders’ environment by 400%! Compared with traditional auto-darkening welding helmets, the Vegaview 2.5 sets the world record in the light state! Thanks to a special UV/IR filter, the Vegaview 2.5 offers a real color experience never seen before and finally brings color into the world of welding. Weighing only 482 g (17 oz), the Optrel Vegaview 2.5 is one of the lightest auto-darkening welding helmets available. Its ergonomic design minimizes strain on the head and neck, ensuring comfort throughout the work day. The Optrel Vegaview 2.5 is perfectly combined with the Optrel e3000x PAPR respiratory system and utilizes the integrated high-performance particle filter (TH3) to protect welders against smoke, aerosols, and dust.

  1. Gabe Reid

I’ve been an Optrel user for well over ten years now. My first helmet finally died after about 8 years of everyday use. I ordered the new Vegaview 2.5, and while the original helmet was great, this one blows it away. Great field of view. Crystal clear vision. Amazing helmet. I recommend Optrel to anybody that’s looking for a new welding helmet.

  2. Michael Altevogt

I have the Vegaview now for over 5 years and it is still my favorite helmet for Tig welding. I have also the Panoramaxx round about 4 years and i use it for Mig welding, but for Tig i love the Vegaview. Next one will be the Crystal 2.0.

What is the size of the viewing area

2 years 7 months ago

The viewing area is 50mm X 100mm. This equates to 10% larger than a standard 2″ X 4″ lens. If viewing area size is your most important feature you should check out our panoramaxx series of hoods.
